Newsletter #9

LATEST HAPPENINGS
Greetings to all of our faithful friends this beautiful
fall. We have so much that happens in between Newsletters
that we are never sure where to begin. After the Music
Fest in July, we had 4 baptisms in August, as well as 2 in
October, which was a wonderful sight to behold. And again
all the Angels in Heaven were rejoicing. Praise the Lord.
Also we were able to take 7 young men to Promise Keepers
that changed their lives forever. They learned so much from
the variety of speakers and music from band PK7 which they
just loved! The overwhelming Praise singing from all of
the men in the stadium was life changing in itself! We
have had some pretty awesome Bible Studies learning how to
be more like Christ and what he expects out of us on a daily
basis. How to trust God when they have never trusted anyone
in the world. How to believe God loves us when no one has
ever really loved us before.
We had a few boys living with us for awhile and they have
moved on to do other things. We truly love them and ask you
to pray for them as they undertake a whole new life. We
know God will guide them and use them in many ways.
We have had to say goodbye to several of our guys that have
been with us for a while. It is a bitter sweet thing, when
we are happy to see them start over and sorry they won’t
be near us to continue to disciple. We also have had
several birthdays which is always fun. We have two young
men going into the service and are trying to help one fella
try to get his z card to be an able body seaman. He wants
to work on tugboats for an oil company. Please pray that
all of these boys succeed in what they are trying to do to
better their lives.
Now we have a brand new crew coming in and they sure need
prayer, as well as us for God to continue to give us wisdom
and knowledge to help teach them.
We had another baptism a few weeks ago and one of the boys
wants to be a preacher. we are trying to get a Christian
college to give him that opportunity.
Last weekend was our Fall Festival, we had a great time with
Olympic theme events, everyone participated and won ribbons
had fun food, our friend Char came to play the guitar and
lead the music for the boys. It was really super and they
learned we could play together and have fun and still give
God the Glory!

UPCOMING EVENTS
Our next big event is Christmas, we have a lot of preparing
to do, to get ready for all of the festivities. We will
have a Tree trimming, making of ornaments and wrapping gifts
for family. Then we will have a Christmas party for the
boys with a Birthday cake for Jesus and lots of gifts. Some
of these kids have never even had anything like this in
their lives, so it is fun for us and they begin to see the
truth in Jesus Christ.
We also have a Christmas play that will be held at a
Christian College that is an awesome presentation of past
and present and all about the Lord!
We are hoping to go back to the Holy Land Experience in
November, but it has changed hands and we are not sure if
they will be able to donate the tickets! This is an event
that is so awesome in showing the boys what we have been
teaching them.

NEEDS
We want to thank all of you family and friends for praying
and meeting all of our needs we put out there in the last
Newsletter. Now are newest needs are the upcoming Christmas
and all of the gifts we get for the boys.
Also on going books for their bible studies.

PRAYERS
We covet your prayers and ask that you continue to meet our
challenge to you in daily prayers for our ministry and boys.
We also ask that you pray for us as we get ready to set
our goals for the new year and what more God would have us
do. The outreach we have for these young men is so
important to us, their lives are in our hands when we are
disciplining them and we want to be prepared to do what ever
the Lord would ask of us. Please keep us in your prayers.
We have so many things on our hearts that we want to be
doing and not enough time in a day. Please pray for our
partnering ministries, Breakaway Outreach ministry and Outta
Control Racing Ministry,
They are very dear to us and work along side of us in these
ministries. We have so many boys that have been touched and
need our continuing prayer as they go home and face life.
It isn’t easy when they have conflict with what they have
learned and what the world tells them. Pray Pray Pray !!
Thank you is never enough from deep in our hearts again
thank you and Praise The Lord!!
We love you
In Christ We Are!

Words From Their Hearts (written by one of our kids)
They go to church on Sunday and maybe sing a song
Hopein that one day their sin will be gone
Every night they pray thinking that’s the way
It’s how you think and how you feel not what you say
You might think you would but you need to be good
You need to be right so don’t you fight
God is almighty keep that in mind cause when it come
To the rapture you’ll be left behind.
I pray to the good Lord up above
That represents peace harmony and love
Just believe and your sins will erase
Cause the Son died for the whole human race
You’ll be alright, yah; you could be cool
Just be sure that you follow Gods rules
When you get there it’ll be a happy day
But if your bad you’ll be cast away
The journey through life is nothing but a lie
Except if you live through Christ
You need to be sure that you stay pure.
